With the desktop application, you don’t need a web browser to watch your videos. The desktop app also lets you save videos to a favorites list to quickly access the content you use most.
Start by signing into your account on ViewMedica.com. If you don’t remember how to sign in, see our logging in tutorial.
Go to your account Dashboard. Find the “Download On-Demand apps” section and click the “For Windows Computers” link.
After your download is finished, navigate to your downloads folder or click to open “ViewMedicaSetup.zip” on your downloads bar.
If prompted, select an extract location and open the extracted folder.
Open the “ViewMedicaSetup” file that is inside the folder.
Windows may prompt you to “Extract All,” “Run” or “Cancel.” Select “Run.”
Windows Firewall may give you a security warning that you are attempting to run “ViewMedicaSetup created by Swarm Interactive, Inc.” If this information is correct, select “Run.”
A window will appear briefly that gets the latest version of ViewMedica.
Once the install/update window disappears, you can log in using your limited access login found on your ViewMedica.com account dashboard. You can also use your ViewMedica username and password. The ViewMedica desktop app will only require you to log in once.
Periodically, you may be prompted to update the application when new versions are released. ViewMedica automatically checks for updates every time the application is started.
