From the loop, presentation, collection, or bumpers builder

  1. Access your hosted video file through a browser and copy the link address.
โ€‹The video must be an MP4 encoded with H.264.
    (Example: https://yourwebsite.com/video.mp4)

  2. In the ViewMedica builder, click the "Add Videos" button and select the "Create Video" option.

  3. Click the "Hosted Video" template.

  4. Give your video item a title. Use a descriptive name so you or your patients can easily find it. This title will be visible (On-Demand only).

  5. Paste the link address to your video into the "MP4 Source URL" field.

  6. Click the "Preview" button to make sure the video loads. Video not loading?

  7. (Optional) Add a link to an image file into the "Poster Image URL" field to customize the poster frame.

  8. (Optional) Add a link to WebVTT captions into the "WebVTT Captions URL" field to provide closed captions. Captions not working?

  9. Click the "Save" button in the top right of the screen. Your new slide is added to the bottom of the item list.

  10. Click and drag your slide to any positions in the list.

Note

Your video slides are also available in the "My Saved Videos" section under "Content" in your account. Learn more about managing custom content.

Troubleshooting

If your video doesn't load in the preview or your WebVTT captions don't appear, please check that your web hosting platform has appropriate permissions for CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing). Your server must allow requests to the video from viewmedica.com.
