VMcast for macOS requires macOS High Sierra or higher.

Get Connected

Follow your device’s instructions to connect your TV and wireless internet connection. For complete information and support for your hardware, please review your device’s documentation.

Install VMcast

From your computer, use a browser to log in to your account at Go to your account’s Dashboard. Find the "Download VMcast apps" section and click on the “For Mac Computers” link. This will download the VMcast application installer. After the download is complete, double-click the installer and follow any prompts to complete the installation.

Launch the app

Before you begin, be sure you have the following to ensure a smooth setup.

  • Client ID

  • Stream Code

These were emailed to you when you signed up for VMcast. They are also listed in the VMcast Control Center of your account.

After the installation is complete, launch the app. Follow the prompts on the screen to complete your setup. The app checks for any software updates and will alert you if a new version is available.

Enter your client ID number and select “Next.”

Enter your stream code. On the fourth digit, if your stream is set up in the VMcast Control Center, you will see your stream content start to play.

If your stream is not set up, you will see the VMcast menu screen showing all of your available broadcast loops and On-Demand presentations. Click the loop you want to play. See our tutorials on setting up a new stream and how to build your stream layout for more details.

During playback, click on the video to pause it and show additional options.

Loops are built to play continuously. However, we recommend stopping the loop at night by hitting the ‘Back’ button and starting it again in the morning.
