Is the ViewMedica On-Demand Player compatible with the NitroPack or WP Rocket Wordpress Plugin?

No. Please disable "lazy load iframes."

Written by Randall Elmo

No.

Many 3rd-party optimization plugins like NitroPack and WP Rocket have a method of lazily loading iframes incompatible with the ViewMedica On-Demand Player. The "lazy load iframes" feature in these plugins must be disabled in order for the player to load properly on all devices.

How do I disable "lazy load iframes?"

Depending on the plugin being used, there should be a setting that allows you to turn off lazy-loading for iframes.

For example, those using NitroPack:

  1. Go to NitroPack dashboard > Settings > Images > Automatic Image Lazy Loading.

  2. Set "lazy load iframes" to "Disabled."

Please see your 3rd-party plugin documentation for additional information on where this setting may be.

Will this negatively impact the performance of my website?

This will have a minimal impact on the performance of your website. The ViewMedica On-Demand Player is lazy-loaded by default. We use the "loading" attribute that is available in the vast majority of browsers in use today.
